In both new construction and remodeling, setting
the budget for a kitchen involves selecting and
pricing a long list of materials, fixtures, appliances,
and accessories. Few homeowners know what it costs
to build a kitchen, so most look to their contractor
for guidance. But the number of unknowns in the
early design stages can make it difficult to prepare a
realistic price.
In the pages that follow, we've tried to address this
problem using a "good/better/best" approach to pricing
all of the required elements in a typical kitchen.
