Doors and windows. If drywall joints fall at the edges of a door or window, the finished joint may crack when the header shrinks. To avoid this, don’t break drywall sheets at the corner of an opening and avoid nailing directly into the header (Figure 8-71).
Ceiling corners. Keep all ceiling fasteners 12 to 16 in. away from intersections with walls. Install the ceiling board first;
