Share Your Photos And Videos

We Want Your Photos & Videos From JLC Live!

Use your smartphone or tablet at the Show to capture photos and videos, and then share them on social media! We’ll be checking the major social media networks for on-site posts and tweets with the #jlclive hashtag. Who knows — your content might appear on our JLC Live Special Coverage page!

And at 3pm each day of the show we’ll be drawing a name from all our contributors to win our 27 year JLC Archive USB, a $59.95 value. Don't forget to use #jlclive in your photo and video descriptions. Good luck, and enjoy the show! Read more about the daily drawing.

Here's a list of recommended mobile apps you can use:

Sharing Videos

Tout for iOS and Android is a video sharing app that works like a video "tweet". It lets you take a short video or "tout" and upload it to your free account on; you can also post videos simultaneously to Twitter and Facebook. Users can subscribe to each other's Tout streams and channels, and can embed touts on webpages and blogs.
Hint: Tout works best in landscape orientation. Don't forget to add the #jlclive hashtag in your Tout descriptions.

Many mobile devices allow you to upload/share directly to YouTube. An iPhone app called YouTube Capture allows in-app record and upload, along with color correction, stabilization, trimming, and music tracks. Finally, if you enable Mobile Uploads in your account settings, you will be able to post videos by email.
Remember #jlclive: Include the #jlclive hashtag in your descriptions so we can find your videos from the show.

Sharing Photos

While at the JLC Live show, you can use the Twitter app to send 140-character text updates and photo tweets too. As for video, Twitter has recently released an app for iPhone and iPad called Vine, which allows you to add short looping videos to your stream.
Remember #jlclive: Use @jlclive, @jlconline, and the #jlclive hashtag in your Tweets from the show.

Flickr users can create and share photos in photostreams, albums, and galleries. The Flickr app can capture, edit, and enhance photos, and when uploading to Flickr, you can simultaneously share to Facebook and Twitter.
Remember #jlclive: When using Flickr to share your photos from JLC Live, use the #jlclive hashtag in your photo descriptions.

Instagram for iPhone and Android allows users to add unique visual effects, borders, and filters to their mobile photos and share them instantly to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and others. Users can also subscribe to each others photo streams.
Remember #jlclive: When using Instagram to share your photos from JLC Live, use the #jlclive hashtag in your photo descriptions.

The Pinterest app for iOS and Android allows you to upload and "pin" your photos to "pinboards" organized by subject and theme. You can also simultaneously share to Facebook and Twitter.
Remember #jlclive: As with all these mobile apps, don't forget to use the #jlclive hashtag.

What About Facebook?

Although Facebook allows you to upload of photos and videos from the show, it's difficult for JLC to find them, because Facebook does not support hashtag searches for non-Friends. To share your photos and videos from JLC Live on your Facebook page, we recommend uploading through one of the other apps mentioned here using the #jlclive hashtag. Then share them on Facebook. That way we can find your contributions (by hashtag) and include you in the daily drawing.

Send Photos & Videos Privately

If you'd rather share your content privately with JLC, a new browser-based service called DropitTOme allows you to upload your photos and videos directly to our Dropbox account. Just go to our JLC DropitTOme page in your web browser, select the file you want to share with us, and type in our not-so-secret upload password: jlclive
Finally, there's regular email. Attach your photo, video, or link and email us at
