Putting on joist hangers: It’s usually a pain-in-the-butt job for the new guy. Get each one on the proper layout, get the height right, and get them nailed on without hitting your fingers. Now multiply the process by a million to get a hanger for every joist on the project! Even with a positive placement nailer, the job can still be a pain. There are manufactured jigs you can buy, but then you have to make sure it’s in your tool box that one day you are putting in the hangers.
