A Safe Push Stick in 60 Seconds

With the end of the board against the chop saw fence plunge the blade all the way down.

Now flip the board over and cut through the kerf from the other side.

Cut through the base of the board to remove the strip you just cut

Cut the push stick to length leaving the heel about two inches long.

Angle the corner for your hand. You can make several cuts to curve it to your liking.

The heel of the push stick hooks on the work so that you are pushing parallel to the saw table instead of toward the blade.

Cut a hole in the middle of the pushstick with a jigsaw if you want more of a handle grip.
