A Steeple for the Ages

Contractor Anthony DiGiammo came up with amodern solution for restoring the steeple of an 1830s church: replace the failed old wood spire with a faithful restoration crafted out of 1/4-inch aluminum plate.

Once the spire was trucked to the site, setting it in place with a crane took only about 4 hours.

The builder hopes that his afternoon's work will last a lifetime.
