It's getting to be that time of year again.

Last year's article in sister publication BUILDER magazine might warm you to the various jackets with heated elements powered by different cordless tool batteries.

The jackets feature three, four, or five heating zones –  left chest, right chest, and mid-back and, sometimes, collar or lower front pockets (great when fingers get too cold to manipulate tools or just too cold for comfort) - and three heat settings. On four jackets, the control button is outside at chest level; in one, it is inside at chest level. The buttons change color to indicate the heat setting. All the battery holsters provide a USB port for charging a cellphone or other USB personal electronics.
