The FSC Chain of Custody Certification ensures that wood products meet the organizationís rigid standards from raw materials through processing, transformation, manufacturing, and distribution. The FSC, whose board includes lumber companies and dealers and environmentalists, coordinates the development of forest management standards throughout the United States.

  • The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) opened the first public comment period on LEED 2009 this week, marking the third phase of the commercial green building rating system that was launched in 2000.
