Chuck and Mark Brownlow continue to build on the reputation of their grandfather's company, founded in 1935. Their father ran the company, too, and was named Big 50 in 1986.

Chuck (front, left) handles commercial and high-end residential projects. Mark (front, right) runs the company's new small repair and painting division with two salesperson/estimators on staff. The brothers added the new division because though the company is well known in the community, there was a perception among homeowners that it only worked on larger projects. Also, the division is well positioned to thrive in a weakened economy.

Chuck recently decided to add a home maintenance division. He researched the idea using a focus group to find out how much homeowners might pay for this type of service.
