The former business manager of Jim Miller Roofing in Pennsylvania has been ordered to pay more than $63,000 back to her former employer, the Delaware County Daily Times reports. The former employee, Barbara Lewis, was arrested in 2016 after a series of activities led business owner Jim Miller to believe she was stealing money from the company.

As business manager, Lewis was responsible for preparing the company’s bank deposits, making bank deposits at financial institutions and maintaining the company books. She also had access to company credit cards.

One of the criminal complaints alleges Lewis cashed 21 checks totaling more than $25,382 made out to Miller and Jim Miller Roofing from January-March 2015. Many of the checks were intended for a bank account to cover employee payroll tax.

Lewis also failed to deposit $26,600 she collected for five rental properties owned by Miller and used the company’s credit cards to make $11,167 in unauthorized purchases at stores including Macy’s, Olly Children’s Shoe Store, Starbucks and the Disney Store, according to the other two complaints.
