Jim Finlay, owner of the Archadeck of Suburban Boston location in Boston, Massachusetts, and his team were awarded Archadeck Outdoor Living's Design Excellence award in the deck category. The winning project—sold and built under the direction of Larry Cohen—is a tall deck over a patio space, with walnut rails and black aluminum balusters. It features a white pergola with a retractable Shade Tree canopy, low-voltage lighting, and an under-deck drainage system.
Archadeck Outdoor Living has a network of more than 50 locations in the U.S. and Canada and says it is North America's largest custom designer and builder of outdoor structures and spaces. The annual contest recognizes design excellence in several product categories. The winning project will be featured in a soon-to-be-launched photo gallery, which will be accessible at the company's website.
