The exposed face of coated copper flashing was protected with blue tape, then the water management layers were installed on the wall.

After the self-adhering housewrap and 30-lb. asphalt felt paper are applied, a drainage matrix (with gray-colored filter fabric) is installed. Here, Obdyke Slicker Max drainage matrix is used, though on similar masonry veneer projects, the author also uses Mortairvent. The stone veneer is re-installed, secured with stainless steel masonry anchors.

Self-spaced corrugated plastic weeps provide enhanced draining. The mortar is mixed up dry on site similar to the original mortar.
