Kestrel offer two types of environmental data recorders that the authors uses: The larger 5200 is useful for more detailed reports that can be shared with clients, consultants and other contractors.
The Kestrel 5200 senses a broad range of environmental factors; for evaluating buildings, the author relies most often on the humidity ratio.
The author can read and record readings from the Kestel 5200 via Bluetooth on his phone, and share the results via email.
The author also uses a pair of smaller, Kestrel D2 sensors for measuring the humidity ratio at various elevations in a room.
