Following the template layout, the brackets are secured to the end posts with two screws per bracket. Next, a “threaded stud spacer” is inserted into each bracket.
On a worktable, the author assembles a washer and nut on the threaded end of a cable.
This assembly is fed through the “threaded stud spacer.”
A flared, unidirectional “pull lock” is slipped on the end of the cable.
The "pull lock" is then pushed into the bracket.
