My trailer is a tandem axle 7 x 14-foot V-nose with an additional 6 inches of interior height.

Minimal lumber storage. I want it to be a tool and work center, not a materials hub. Still, you’ve got to have some stuff lying around.

I keep sheet goods on the left side. If I haven’t told you the importance of setting up a work table—legit 4x8 table where it’ll fit—I will. That’s a story for another day. Note how earth work tools are wrangled.

Plumbed, wired, organized. This saves me untold headaches and wasted time.

Did I mention I can see everything? I know when stuff is missing or needs to be put back. Also, the trailer is plumbed for air and wired for shore or battery power so when I plug the trailer in, everything inside—chargers, tools—is energized all at once. The extra 6 inches of ceiling height pays off just in clamp storage and clearance under the LED lights.

This level of organization also notifies me that I’m running low on this or that. Running out of—or stopping to run out for—something is not a regular occurrence.

Large, bulky items stow under the bench or away securely.
