Structural strapping, which is very strong in tension, is typically specified to reinforce foundation walls that bow inward, as is the case on this project. (Strapping can also be used for walls that tip in ward or that have sheared, with part of the wall pushed inward by hydrostatic pressure. The engineering and product requirements will vary for each case.)
