This concept vehicle is concept. Not only does it seem a fedora is required but it has a portable power system that seems more in line with off-grid living than plowing through a 2x12.

cNet writer Andrew Kronk calls the Nissan NV 300 concept (Nissan’s real Titan here) vehicle a “woodworking wunderkind on wheels.”

While my guess is that Andrew probably doesn’t have a shop or extension ladder or know what a “heart attack step” feels like on pump jacks, his caption—"I feel like Nick Offerman would really get a kick out of this”—tells me he actually knows the craft of turning a pile of lumber into a table or shelter isn’t just some low-brow, slow-brain activity for the generally slothful. So props to Andrew.

I’m guessing that if we as a group re-designed this, the desk would be replaced with table saw storage.

How neat and tidy this is gives me great joy.

Also, props to Nissan and the studio that ginned up this mobile shop. Whether or not it’s a pretty picture or the seeds of a sweet system is up to you to decide. After you put on your woodworking fedora, you can see the rest of the story.
