aluminum wiring?
A. I would never add to an
aluminum wire system. Instead, add new wiring back
to the panel for any new loads. You are assuming a
lot of responsibility messing with old wiring in
general, more so with aluminum. Taking on a system
you know nothing about is a big step, and the
aluminum systems can be flaky.
