Now That's a Sunspace
The Preservationists
must have loved this
one. This 5,400 square
foot glass pyramid is
attached to an 1830
traditional home,
overlooking the ocean,
in coastal
Massachusetts. The
pyramid opens to the
view and among other
things provides sunny
shelter to a 15x40 foot
swimming pool. The
glass structure's 71
fixed glass panes face
south and east for solar
gain, while 23
electrically-operated
roof windows let in
ocean breezes.
Retractable awnings
provide summertime
shade.
