A new rigid insulation board
called Amofoam-RCY is a "green"
product in more ways than one.
Not only is it green in color, it's
made with a minimum of 50%
recycled polystyrene resin recovered
from disposable cups, plates,
bowls, and other packaging that
would otherwise be discarded and
end up in landfills. According to
the manufacturer, the foam
exhibits the same compressive
strength, R-value, and resistance to
water absorption as its other
extruded polystyrene products. The
company was also the first to eliminate
CFCs from its manufacturing
process. Amofoam-RCY comes in
2x8 and 4x8 sheets in thicknesses
of 1, 11/2, and 2 inches. To find a
