The Layer App is a software application and Revit Add-in for multidisciplinary building teams to capture and access their rich building data in BIM. This smart digital tool saves AECO project teams hours of time, giving them more time to design.
Layer is designed around four distinct concepts:
1. Flexible Platform:
Create a custom form of data points with flexible form fields, toggles, and rating widgets.
2. Contextualized Data:
Assign spatial context to rich building data (forms, photos, files, notes, and tasks) which can be searched and filtered.
3. Real-time Collaboration:
Communicate and share rich building data within the context of BIM in real-time from any device or platform.
4. BIM Integration:
Access and edit rich building data instantly in Revit and Layer’s dockable window with these three distinct features:
4.1 Two-way Navigation:
Users can select any Revit element and instantly see its corresponding rich building data in Layer’s dockable window and vice versa.
4.2 Synced Parameters:
Users can edit a Revit element’s parameters directly in Layer’s dockable window and push changes to the Revit model.
4.3 Layer References in Revit:
Users can drop annotations in Revit that link directly to rich building data in Layer’s dockable window.
Layer App helps multidisciplinary project teams save time searching for the rich building data they need to design.
