O’Ryan Industries™ grew from a very modest beginning to an “Inc. 500 Company,” in less than six years. The ability to recognize new and growing markets as well as the capacity to design, engineer, manufacture, and aggressively pursue sales has guaranteed growth and success.
Together Rick and Sharon Grant, President and Vice President have pursued a personal interest in the emerging technology of fiber optics, and in doing so turned their interest into an effective and diversified company, specializing in fiber optic illumination. O’Ryan’s first products were fiber optic light sources and digital image enhancement products, followed by Dental composite curing lights, along with Ultra Sonic Scalers and Industrial Light Sources, which continue to account for a large share of the company’s success. Spin-offs from the early dental curing light include fiber optic light sources and components for medical and veterinary, industrial inspection, and micro illumination.
Another successful market for O’Ryan has been light sources for the pool and spa industry, leading with the AquaStar™ (The undisputed leader in the spa industry). This innovative light created a revolution in the spa industry with its ease of installation and safe low voltage power source. Accounting for over 80% of lights installed in spas, it is used by such manufacturers as Jacuzzi, Kohler, PDC, Marquis Spas, Dimension One, and Cal Spas just to name a few. O’Ryan also entered the market with the SwimStar™. This illumination device is designed for simple homeowner installation without any modification to their above ground pools.
