What it is: The U.S.-made powder-coated aluminum railings come in eight standard colors and are made from recycled and recyclable materials.
Why he likes it: For Quaregna, Carfaro railings have been a big seller for three years. Most of his clients who choose the aluminum railing also choose Azek cellular PVC decking for a complete maintenance-free deck system.
There is an up-charge for the product — it costs 20% more than wood for material and labor. And near the ocean or bay, Quaregna recommends the 15-year finish instead of the regular five-year finish, which adds about 8% to the cost.

Quaregna first saw the railings at a trade show and then visited Carfaro’s New Jersey manufacturing facility. He is a distributor for the product and also does installations for other contractors.
