Kichler Lighting has recalled its 52-inch LED Indoor Ceiling fans due to injury hazards, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall involves 38,900 units of the ceiling fans in the United States, according to a release from the CPSC.

The recall release said the iron arms used to hold the ceiling fan blades can detach while in use, causing the blades to fall, posing injury hazards. The manufacturer has received more than 60 reports of the fan blade iron breaking or detaching, including one report of property damage. Kichler has not received any reports of injuries.

The recalled ceiling fans were sold at Lowe's and other lighting specialty stores nationwide and online from January 2016 through March 2020. The product recall involves Kichler's indoor ceiling fans with five blades, bronze accents, etched umber glass, and an integrated LED module. The recalled products have a Mediterranean Walnut finish and feature the model number 35153 printed on top of the fan's motor housing. The CPSC advises consumer to immediately stop using the recalled ceiling fans and contact the manufacturer for instructions on receiving free replacement fans.
