Steve Kamody was elected president of Window World, the nation's biggest replacement contractor, the North Wilkesboro, N.C.-based company announced.
Kamody had been vice president of sales, overseeing more than 200 locations nationwide, the company said in an Oct. 23 news release. Before that, he was national sales manager at Paragon Door Designs, which ultimately became Window World's first entry door program. He also was a regional vice president at American WeatherSeal.
Window World has sold more than 10 million windows since its founding in 1995, including more than 1 million windows each of the past seven years. It ranks first on the Replacement Contractor list in this year's Remodeling 550, with $531.2 million in total sales in 2014.
