Palram calls its new Mirrite product "outdoor flooring" rather than decking, with each PVC board printed with the image of an ipe, a teak, or a black-walnut board on its surface. The boards are topped with what a company rep described as a transparent shell that protects the surface and provides fade and stain resistance. The company claims that the shell is impervious to common staining agents including sunscreen, bug spray, citronella and charcoal fluid.
