A QuickBooks add-on subscription service helps small- and medium-size companies facilitate bill collection by contacting customers in a timely and cost-effective manner. Call Motions, a New York company, offers A/R Connection, a program that will automatically contact customers who have outstanding balances with a payment reminder by e-mail, fax, telephone, or letter, all sent on pre-set dates, for example, 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days past due.
The service's software allows users to choose from templated messages or to customize individual messages, as well as to decide when and how often to contact customers.
In a press release, Call Motions president Roger Gins notes that timeliness is especially important because the longer an account remains unpaid, the lower the probability of collection.
