Skilsaw pushed its wormdrive technology into the first 10-in. wormdrive tablesaw. Now it is looking to conquer the demands of cutting concrete with the same system. In the video below we offer a first look at the latest wormdrive saw from Skilsaw—the 7-inch "Medusaw," which is dedicated to scoring and cutting concrete, brick, and other masonry surfaces. It is equipped with wet / dry dust management, a GFCI cord, rolling footplate, and a retractable front pointer. Rubber wheels keep the footplate up from the cutting surface enough so that the saw rolls freely. The saw is designed to be used with either wet or dry dust management. A dust collection adapter is included and will fit standard 2 1/2-inch hoses; Bosch dust collectors can be used without the included adapter. The Medusaw will be available in January 2017 and has an MSRP of $399 (blade not included).
