Unlike its 2015 model (which Michael Springer reviewed for us), Skilsaw’s new heavy duty worm drive table saw (model SPT99) promises better job site mobility and larger cut capacities. The new table saw offers an increased 3 – 5/8 –inch depth of cut (the previous version is 3 1/2") and a 30-1/2-inch rip capacity (up from 25" on the previous model).
Featured with the new design is a rack-and-pinion fence system, which allows for quick, smooth fence adjustments .
Additionally, the new Skilsaw heavy duty worm drive table saw features a dust port elbow to collect and contain dust into one area. Further features include a left-side support for larger materials, as well as 16" wheels and round-edged handles on the stand for better grip when maneuvering around the jobsite.The Skilsaw 10in heavy duty worm drive table saw includes a Miter Gauge; the Skilsaw Smart Guard System, which includes an Anti-Kick Back Device, Dust Elbow, Insert Plate, Push Stick, Wrench, and Rip Fence.
The Skilsaw 10in Heavy Duty Worm Drive Table Saw comes in two models, the SPT99-11, featuring a SKILSAW blade and the SPT99-12, with a Diablo blade.
