When Chad Gohm wanted to get ahead of the competition he decided to pack heat. A heat sensor, that is.
Gohm, who owns Gohm Insurance Restoration, a full-service restoration company in Saginaw, Mich., uses a thermo imaging camera to speed the process of, for example, locating moisture on rooftops or within walls, floors, or ceilings.
The camera measures heat, or lack thereof, and uses a color palette to show the differences in temperature and trouble spots.
Gohm's camera (an ES model) is made by a Swedish company, FLIR Systems.
