According to the folks at Gateway Safety their Venom Face Protection is far more comfortable than other face protection products. As proof they offer the results of an employee survey conducted by a national pharmaceutical company in which 83% of those surveyed gave Venom Face Protection a positive review for fit and comfort. Only 32% gave other face protection products a positive review.
Venom Visors are made from 0.60-inch thick polycarbonate. Unlike some other face shields, which are shaped like a section of a cylinder, these have a contoured shape that is said to provide better facial coverage and block more debris. The headgear has an extra-soft cloth brow pad to absorb moisture and a three-part adjustment system that allows users to turn a ratcheting knob to loosen or tighten the fit, adjust the top piece to raise or lower the gear on their head, and tighten or loosen the hinge on the visor.
The shield has been tested by Underwriters Laboratories to meet ANSI Z87.1+ and CSA Z94.3 standards. Visors are available in clear, clear anti-fog, and gray, as well as 3.0 and 5.0 IR Filter shades.
