As of a year ago so many auto companies had gotten out of the midsize truck business in the U.S. that only the Tacoma (Toyota) and Frontier (Nissan) remained. GM recently re-entered that market, with the introduction of the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon.
According to The Fast Lane Truck, rumors abound that Chrysler plans to revive the Dakota, a midsize pickup that was discontinued after the 2011 model year. It’s only a rumor and as the rumor goes, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) will revive the Dakota under the Ram brand. One version of the rumor says the truck will be based on the Fiat Doblo/Ram ProMaster platform. The other says it will be produced by Mitsubishi and be based on the L200. Read more.
