The GB70 is a lithium ion jump starter pack that delivers 2,000 amps and the manufacturer says it juices a dead battery in seconds. It has patented safety technology that provides a spark-proof connection and reverse-polarity protection if someone hooks up the clamps on the wrong poles, because as we all know, "Crossing the streams is bad."
Of course, it can charge electronics, and it can also power 12-volt devices like a tire inflater, power inverter, and more. And it has a 400-lumen flashlight.
The manufacturer recommends it for up to 8.0-liter gas and 6.0-liter diesel and while it can be charged via USB, there’s also car port (formerly called lighter) adapter for faster charging if needed.
At $250, this almost sounds like a recreational item; however, all that juice and ports to charge phones and tablets plus the light, it might be worth asking Santa for one. I’m going to count on the kindness of strangers and my $39.99 jumper cables until I win the lottery while I’m thankful most of my jobs have power and indoor plumbing.
