My husband Paul and I have run a
general contracting business in the
San Francisco Bay Area for the past
15 years. One of the most exciting —
and risky — changes we made during
this time was to move our business
out of our home.
Home Office
The way our business got its start is
a familiar story. Paul was a skilled carpenter
looking to strike out on his
own. I was home with a baby and a
small child, and had some experience
in bookkeeping. Together we learned
by trial and error how to run a business
(we had our fair share of error).
