Kichler Lighting has recalled around 750 pendant lights due to fire hazards. The recall involves Elan Shayla Mini Pendant Lights Models 83162, 83163, and 83164, according to an announcement from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The light sockets for the product can overheat, melt, or catch fire, posing a fire hazard, according to the CPSC. Kichler has received more than 80 consumer reports of burnt fixtures, wires, or sockets, including three reports of fires.

The pendant lights were sold at lighting showrooms nationwide from May 2013 through March 2015, according to the manufacturer. The product is chrome and contains one, three, or nine pendant lights. The recalled fixtures have their model numbers and date codes printed on stickers located on the inside of the ceiling canopy and on the product packaging.

Kichler advises consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lighting fixtures and contact the store where they purchased the product or the manufacturer directly for a free replacement lighting fixture.
