Company CEO Doug Fulton told the Sioux Falls (South Dakota) Argus Leader that many of his buyers hail from colder climes (“Homebuilder's 'living room' lures snowbirds,” by Jodi Schwan). “Canadians are buying houses from him, as well as people from the Dakotas,” the paper reports. A strong economy in North and South Dakota has many people who rent winter places thinking about buying, Fulton told the paper, and he said: “It takes a couple seasons. They’re frugal and not going to make a fast decision, but if you do a good job and take care of them at a customer-service level, they start talking.”
