According to Lowe’s research, efficiency and communication are the top factors homeowners consider when hiring a professional. With many variables at play, including product availability and speed of delivery, it’s not always easy to move projects forward at homeowners’ desired pace.

In the Lowe’s survey, 68% of building professionals said they rely on their suppliers and retailers more than they did the prior year to help them save money and time getting materials to the job site. Before locking in timelines with customers, we suggest asking these questions of your retail partners:

Can I get all the products I need from one place?

Building professionals are actively looking for a wide range of high-quality products from brands they trust. Long searches to find the right products and quantities from multiple retailers or suppliers can cost valuable time. A reliable retail partner who can deliver a wide product selection in sufficient quantities can be a crucial solution to keep the crew working on the jobsite. Thousands of products are available in job-lot quantities from Lowe’s, including lumber, roofing, sheetrock, shingles, insulation, windows and doors – all ready for shipment, truck delivery or in-store pickup. Lowe’s MVPs Pro Rewards and Partnership Program* members can also use the Order Quotes tool in the Lowe’s mobile app to build quotes within minutes, locking in product pricing for up to seven days — without having to call or visit in-store.

Can I guarantee I will get my products to the job site quickly?

Building professionals often need quick access to an extensive assortment of day-to-day supplies and building materials, including products like paint, flooring, as well hardware like screws and nails.

Same-day delivery is changing the game. Eligible orders placed on Lowes.com or the Lowe’s mobile app by 2 p.m. can be delivered directly to the jobsite by 8 p.m. on the same day. If you need to send a team member out for a store run, Purchase Authorization in the Lowe’s app allows accountholders to designate a crew member to make in-store purchases on their behalf using a secure QR code, helping streamline the checkout process.

When it comes to efficiency, the availability of the right supplies and how quickly they arrive on a jobsite directly impacts the ability of building professionals to do their best work. Moreover, simplified purchase processes allow professionals to communicate effectively with homeowners and ultimately keep their customers happy.
