The Painting Contractors Association (PDCA) launched a 15-episode series of videos in the Trade Best Practice Series to help promote the painting business. The videos cover the finer points of paint, with videos dedicated to cleaning, taping, masking, and closeout.
U.S. paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore is supporting the video series as part of its Painting Contractor Workforce Development Initiative in partnership with the PCDA and Technical Assistance for Careers in Homebuilding (TEACH) Construction. Benjamin Moore has pledged $100,000 in grant funding to PCDA and TEACH Construction to develop a multi-faceted program geared towards educating and preparing the next generation of painters.
Benjamin Moore's Painting Contractor Workforce Development Initiative is comprised of a video series for beginners and an in-depth classroom program designed to offer content on various topics within the trade. Benjamin Moore said the goal of the initiative is to provide independent painters and contractor businesses with the resources , expertise, and confidence to be successful.
The Trade Best Practice video series includes an overview of the painting industry and provides introductory content on topics including taping, sanding, and rolling. TEACH Construction breaks down each topic into learning modules for those interested in further detailed instruction.
