Deck builders, home inspectors, and those seeking a better understanding of how decks should be built (and how they usually fail) should plan to enroll in NADRA's popular deck evaluation and inspection course, which is being held during the Deck Expo in Louisville, Kentucky next month. NADRA members who take the half-day course, which will be held on Tuesday morning, November 5, have the option of earning certification, while ASHI members can earn four continuing education credits. The course is being presented by Jim Mailey of Simpson Strong-Tie, an expert in outdoor wood deck construction and an advisor on structural issues for NADRA.
