OSHA said the program, designed for small and mid-sized businesses, has been well received. It's aimed at preventing workplace injuries, illness and death, as well as the financial hardship that accidents and illness cause for workers, their families, and their employers.
The program uses a proactive approach to safety -- addressing potential problems before an employee gets sick or is injured or killed.
