Classic Illumination

For over 20 years, Phil Waen, owner of Classic Illumination, has been working with architects and designers to create beautiful handcrafted lighting for both residential and commercial interiors. All fixtures are made to your specifications with a choice of shade, height and finish.

Classic Illumination began as a lamp restoration company over 20 years ago and has become a recognized authority in the restoration and recreation of historically correct lighting, often incorporating new energy efficient lamps. Energy efficient lamps are available on many of our fixtures. Look for the PL symbol in the specification guide.

We now have the ability to create our own slumped glass. Slumped glass is the process of bending sheets of glass into bowl shapes. These are then sandblasted or etched in your choice of patterns. See our etching patterns brochure.

A unique feature of Classic Illumination is the variety of patinas available on our solid brass fixtures. Some of our newer finishes are Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Copper, Pewter, and Antique Gold.
