I’d hardly call myself “good” at backing up a trailer, but I can get it in the pod bay doors at the transfer station OK (proof here on this riveting time lapse of me emptying my super-paid for utility trailer). And I can tuck it in the corner of my customers’ driveways on (50-50) one try.

But I was today-years-old when I learned the gem below—it’s already helped.

Also, if the new guy is operating alone, there are some other good basics in this article from the Roadshow, like get gas before hitching on the trailer and plan your route so driving is easy.

It also gets a little Inside Baseball on what trucks have which towing features (at the bottom if you want to scroll quickly.)
