For snow-plowing folks, Fisher has a “cordless” walk-behind brine tank with a stair wand. The company says it’s better for pretreating surfaces and makes snow removal easier on those surfaces. I know I’ve shoveled enough stairs to realize that if I were running all over town after a blizzard, I’d want to keep the stairs as clear as possible. Spraying seems easier than broadcasting rock salt all over the place. See the Fisher SS-120 Sidewalk Sprayer video here.
I know not all snow pros are convinced this configuration works, citing complaints about wheels and bearings rusting faster than the Titanic and fussy customers who somehow feel their sidewalks will crack if brine is sprayed on them. And you need a brine tank for refills.

Have a Competitive Edge
Pretreating surfaces with liquid anti-icer before a storm helps prevent ice from bonding to the pavement, and makes it easy to scrape clean once the storm has passed. The FISHER® SS-120 walk-behind sprayer gives you battery-powered convenience and a heavy-duty spray wand for stairs and other places where granular deicers are ineffective, such as curbs and steps. With pretreating, you can use less salt, save time and deliver exceptional results.
