Walter Stoeppelwerth, a giant in the remodeling industry, died Feb. 18 in Ocean Grove, N.J. Not only was he president of HomeTech in Bethesda, Md., for more than 30 years, and a former columnist for REMODELING magazine, he was a mentor to home improvement contractors nationwide.
