Simpson Strong-Tie’s CPTZ post tie is a 10-gauge knife plate on a rectangular base that keeps posts the code-required 1 inch above the concrete. Cut a vertical kerf in the bottom of a post, slip it over the plate, and secure it with the supplied galvanized pin.
