By Katy Tomasulo. This year's Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (K/BIS) will be held April 5-7 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Around the floor, visitors can expect to see an emphasis on luxury, as manufacturers unveil an array of relaxing products for stressed homeowners, including new shower systems, bathtubs that incorporate aromatherapy and chromatherapy, and steam generators. As always, stainless steel will be prevalent in most appliance booths, but don't be surprised to find a splash of color here and there. High-end manufacturers also are finding ways to stay ahead with new variations of the popular finish.

Dacor. The 36-inch Epicure wall oven features the company's Pure Convection, a cooking system that incorporates a third heating element away from the food, allowing for even multi-rack cooking in 10% less time and at a 25-degree lower temperature. Sub-Zero. The 601RG custom refrigerator sports a glass door, allowing homeowners to view contents without opening the door. A dimmed interior light can stay on when the door is closed and will switch to full illumination when the door is opened. The unit offers 19.9 cubic feet of storage space. Merillat. Designed to complement popular appliance colors, the new bisque cabinet color falls between white and almond on the color spectrum. This shower system positions the fixtures at the front corner of the glass enclosure, allowing users to look out into the room while bathing.
