Kitchen Sinks
Stow It. In a small kitchen without an inch of counter space to spare, where does the homeowner stash pot scrubbers, vegetable brushes, and other clean-up supplies? Julien's Classic Collection undermount sink has two tilt-out drawers, one on each side. At 24 inches wide and 18 inches deep, the 16-gauge stainless steel fixture is smaller than a standard kitchen basin, but it's a good 10 inches deep. It costs $2,480. Second Life. Made from 16-gauge recycled copper, Elkay's hammered sinks feature a burnished finish that darkens over time. Warn your clients that copper requires a little extra maintenance: Elkay recommends rinsing and drying the basins after each use. The Antique Copper Hammered line contains 11 styles, including the 33-inch-by-22-inch double-bowl apron-front model shown, which retails for $3,086. Elkay, 630/572-3192, www.elkayusa.com.
