Hilti added some new tools to its 36V platform - a cordless rotary hammer and 7" angle grinder. According to the manufacturer, both tools are designed to perform as well as their respective corded versions.

Cordless Rotary Hammer
The Hilti TE 6-A36-AVR is the newest Rotary Hammer features the Hilti Active Vibration Reduction (AVR) technology and a D-grip handle - which were designed to keep in users hands for longer periods of time more comfortably.
These rotary hammers can be used with either the B36/5.2 CPC Li-Ion industry class battery or the B36/2.6 Li-Ion compact class battery. The 5.2 version will provide the most work-per-charge performance, while the 2.6 version will give users the benefit of the lighter weight without sacrificing power. It has a chiseling feature for light-duty chiseling. The rotary hammer can be converted to dust-free operation with the optional TE 6-A dust removal system (sold separately). For drilling and hammering in masonry or concrete, it delivers 1.5 ft-lb in single impact energy and operates at a 1,040-rpm gear speed. With the optional quick-release chuck enables you can shift quickly to tasks involving steel, wood, and plastic. It's available now. Cost: $449 (bare tool); Kit options, including batteries, range from $900 to $1200.

Cordless Angle Grinder
The Hilti AG 600-A36 is similar to a typical 7-inch corded grinder, with none of the hassle or weight. Its Active Torque Control (ATC) safeguards from kickbacks without reducing productivity.
The AG 600-A36 is equipped with a brushless motor and is powered by the Hilti B36/5.2 CPC Li-Ion, which is said to allow for a higher charge and a deeper discharge per cycle. The manufacturer states that its proprietary CPC Li-Ion will enable the grinder to deliver more work per charge than any other cordless grinder on the market.
The angle grinder’s 5/8x11-inch Kwik-lock keyless flange system eliminates long downtime by allowing quick blade changes and uses industry standard thread-on consumables to increase performance level. Cost: $369 (bare tool); $899 (includes protective cover, two battery packs, a charger, a Kwik lock 5/8" - 11, soft bag).
Hilti has also recently updated its AG 500-A22 cordless angle grinder with a 5/8-inch x 11-inch arbor. It has similar performance to a 4 ½” corded angle grinder with the exception of its new 22V power capabilities.
