The new EXOS Lite work boot series is Red Wing Shoe Co.’s lightest purpose-built safety footwear line to date, designed with the manufacturer’s insight on industry expectations for lightweight and comfortable safety wear.

The EXOS Lite is ASTM- and CSA-compliant, and is designed for both indoor and outdoor medium-duty work in warehousing, distribution, construction, and light manufacturing and service environments. The boot uses an integrated TPU cord construction to support the ankle and heel, in place of the additional material in traditional work boots, and a proprietary lightweight sole designed to reduce the boot’s weight while still offering slip, oil, and abrasion resistance. The low-profile safety toe is formed from a tough, lightweight aluminum material; the footbed features a high-rebound cushion for underfoot comfort; and the calf’s flexible insert helps widen the opening for access and comfort throughout the day.
“Red Wing heard from safety professionals and skilled laborers all over the U.S. about their wish for a work boot that performed in demanding environments without weighing them down throughout the day. We listened and applied those insights to the new EXOS Lite line,” says Kristin Hamilton, senior product merchandising manager at Red Wing Shoe Co. “In order to create our lightest work boot ever, we used new safety materials and innovative manufacturing techniques while still meeting and exceeding safety standards.”
The boots are available in 6-inch or 8-inch waterproof styles, with a choice of mocha, onyx, or caramel leather as well as an optional BOA Lacing System and puncture-resistant insole. redwingshoes.com
