The SawBuddie is a flexible rubber shroud — lined with bristles — that attaches to a recip saw. According to the maker, it captures as much as 99 percent of the dust generated by the saw without obstructing the operator’s view of the cut line. When attached to a certified HEPA vacuum, it complies with RRP guidelines as a point-of-origin dust control system, the company says. It fits a variety of saws and costs $80. An 18-inch-long hose adapter is available for $20.
